Performs routine (journey-level) peer support work. Work involves observing interactions with persons served, and facilitating individual and group sessions. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Experience in behavioral or intellectual challenges. Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is generally preferred.
Requires an adult who has been diagnosed with a mental illness themselves.
Valid Texas driver's license.
Must be certified within 6 months of hire. (Peer Provider.)
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Certified Peer Specialist (CPS).
Experiences working in an organization providing mental health services.
Strong professional verbal, typing, and written skills.
