The Psychological Associate (Jail Based Competency) provides screening, assessments, clinical, and managerial oversight of the Jail Based Restoration Program (JBCR) and Outpatient Competency Restoration Program (OCR). This position reports to the courts, and adheres to established standards as required under article 46B.079, the Texas Administrative Code, Health and Safety Code, HHSC, and the Joint Commission.
* Applicants must have the following qualifications to be considered for this position.
Master’s or Advanced Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in social, behavioral, or human service field including, but not limited to psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development, gerontology, education psychology, or education.
Must be licensed in the state of Texas or a reciprocity state as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Psychologist or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
3 or more years experience in behavioral health services
Ability to plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others
Ability to plan, develop, and implement clinical programming
Ability to analyze behavioral deficits, provide clinical services and oversight
Ability to interpret, evaluate, develop, and uphold policies and regulations
Knowledge of client advocacy
Ability to organize work efficiently and prioritize schedule
Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and good driving record
